Month 1 at home

Mya couldn't get enough of Preston the first couple weeks!

Preston love's baths!

Mya found mya "bands" and thought they would make great anklets.

As soon as we got Preston's toys out, she had a hard time not being able to play with them, so we let her have a turn.

Our new stroller, she had to hold Preston's hand...such a cute sister!

First blow out, we have been lucky and have only had a couple.

All tuckered out!

One month old, time flies....

Birth Story...3 months later

I do have a valid excuse this time...the internet at our house SUCKS, and I did try at least 3 times to get it on here before giving up...so now I'm posting this on my lunch break at work. :)

So June 6, 2012 - I have c-sections, so I got to choose my baby's birthdate.  My original due date was June 13, and they usually want to schedule c-section about 1 week before the due date.  6/6/12 seemed like a pretty cool birthday to me.  Now Preston, Mya and I all have unique birthdays.  (me 3/3, Mya 4/4 and Preston 6/6)  Poor Jared has no significance with his 12/4.

So back to June 6 - we were scheduled to be at the hospital at 10:30 to be prepped and ready to go for a 12:00 surgery.  We dropped Mya off at my parents and left her for the last time being the only child.  Everything went smooth when we got there and as you follow the pictures below, you can imagine just about everything.

Last belly shot - 39 weeks

After they put in the spinal tap, I suddenly got very nauseous - so they put a puke pail next to me just in case.  Luckily it subsided and the only thing I felt was the tug and pull of them opperating.

Look at that beautiful head!

Almost out...

It's a BOY! (he's gonna hate this picture in about 10 years)

This picture actually makes me a little mad - dang nurse stepped in and took him off before Jared got the full reading!  He weighed in at 7 lbs, 14 oz.

Getting dressed

Jared again got to be the lucky one to first hold him, I had to wait about an hour.

He came out with scratches all over his face!  We brought little mittens to put on his hands after he was born to prevent scratches, but it was kinda a lost cause.

Me and my little man...it's amazing how quickly you can love someone SO much!

This is one of my favorite pics...I had SO many armbands they were annoying!  My favorite of course is the "FALL RISK"

First Bath

My parents brought Mya by while Preston was getting his bath, she was SOOO ecited to meet her baby brudder!

Preston burrito

It was love at first sight for Mya too.  She couldn't get enough of him!

Kisses from Mya

Family Picture

First poopy diaper.
(Yes we were watching the NBA playoffs)

You always wonder how they fit in your belly - his legs must have looked something like this cuz he did this all the time the first few days.

I have children with SO much hair.  It's still incredible to me how much hair they both had.

Going home...a new adventure is about to begin...
